The Ankeny Art Center values all our dedicated volunteers! Volunteering is a wonderful and fulfilling way for individuals and organizations to give to the arts and to the community. We have many different events and opportunities to volunteer at to help support a local non-profit!

We are always looking for artists and teachers who wish to share their skills with others. Classes cover 2D and 3D media, and a wide variety of ages.

INTERN

The Ankeny Art Center is a non-profit Art Gallery with rotating art exhibits and classrooms for drawing, painting, and ceramics. Interns will learn how to hang a show, how to run classes and the day-to-day operation of an Art Center.

 

Our Summer session is June 1 - August 4.

SUMMER INTERNS:

  • Apply by April 7th by sending the completed Intern application to our Education Director Lindsey Harrison at lindsey@ankenyartcenter.com

  • Interviews with potential interns will be scheduled after April 7th and Internship will be awarded May 1st.

  • Assist with Summer Camps

  • Assist with gallery duties

  • Experience outreach and connections with the communities we serve.

  • Paid $1,500 at the end of the semester
